the policies of reserved constituencies has been incorporated by the Constitution makers in our Constitution because the weaker sections (scheduled castes(Sc) and scheduled tribes (ST)) may not have the required education, knowledge and other resources required to contest and win elections against others. This has been done to ensure participation in politics by these groups which were deemed weak, marginalized, under-represented and needing special protection.
