CBSE Class 8 Answered
why does light bend while striking any object
Asked by archanajnk | 01 Jan, 2015, 07:33: PM
Expert Answer
When light travels from one medium to another, at the boundary of the two media, it bends.
This is because the speed of light changes according to the refractive index of the two media.
This causes the light to either slow down or speed up in the second medium and hence, bend towards or away from the normal respectively.
