What will be the impact name of Hg(Co(scn)4)
In ncert example its stated mercury tetra thiocyanoto S cobaltate (|||)
Means the oxidation state of mercury is taken 1
Shouldn't it be 2?
Also if this ques comes in neet what am I supposed to do as the conducting body blindly follows ncert . Thank you

In NCERT, Oxidation state is not mentioned it does not mean Hg is having +1 oxidation state. Oxidation state of Hg is +2.
Correct answer is Mercury(II) tetra thiocynato-S-Cobaltate(II)
