Steps involved in the production of cloth:
- Spinning was the first stage in the production of cloth. This work was mostly done by women with the help of the charka and takli.
- After spinning, the threads were woven into cloth by weavers. This work was mostly done by men.
- For obtaining colourful cloth, dying was done by a dyer known as rangez.
- Help of specialist block printers were taken for printing cloth.
