Structure of vacuole:
- · Vacuoles are fluid-filled or solid-filled and membrane-bounded spaces which act as a kind of storage sacs.
- · They are non-living structures and have Clear spaces with water or other substances in solution.
- · Vacuoles are larger in plant cells and fewer and smaller in animal cells.
Functions of vacuole:
- They help in the storage of water and other substances, food, pigments and waste products.
- They give turgidity to the cells.
