What is the function of centriole in both animal cell and plant cell ?

Centrioles are a pair of cylinder-like structures that are embedded in the centrosome. They are hollow structures, made up of microtubules. They typically lie at right angles to one another. They are the structures in the cytoplasm from which the spindle apparatus forms during cell division.
