What is the tenure of the office of each member of the Rajya Sabha?

Each member of the Rajya Sabha has a 6 year term. One-third of its total members retire every two years and new members are elected to fill the seats that are vacated. Therefore, the Rajya Sabha is a permanent house that is not subject to dissolution like Lok Sabha.
