North east Monsoon bring rainfall generally over south peninsula, particularly in the eastern half comprising of coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. North East Monsoon season begins in September bringing rainfall mainly to the state of Tamil Nadu.
Monsoon begins to retreat in the months of October and November and forms a transition from hot rainy season to dry winter conditions. It is marked by clear skies and rise in temperature.
