Importnace and contribution of chemistry-
a. Medicine- Various researches by chemists have lead to the discoverry of medicinal drugs. Thers drugs help in to fight and cure various diseases. Examples- Aspirin, paracetamol, antibiotics like- penicillin, tetracycline, antiseptics and various other medicines used to kill germs and cure disease and their symptoms.
b. Communication- Chemical studies related to chemicals help to select and use material for producing equipments in communication. For example- Silicon is used in chip of computers.
c. Clothing- Formation of clothing involves conversion of fibres into fabrics. Fibres can be natural and synthetic. Earlier only natural fibres such as cotton, wool, jute etc. were known, With more development synthetic fibres like nylon, terylene is formed. These fibres are strong, water ressistant and dry quickly.
