Calculus is a brach of mathemetics to stoudy about change of a quantity which depends on some parameter like time or distance. Calculus deals with how the change of the quantity depends on change of parameters.
For example in physics, variation of speed with respect to time is analysed using calculus.
In production engineering, variation of cost of production with respect to raw material cost or labour cost is analysed using calculus.
Relation for change of quantity with respect to change of dependent parameter is determined by differential calculus.
For example , if speed varies linearly with respect to time , then change of speed with respect to time is constant.
Net effect of a quantity due to overall change in dependent parameter is determined by integral calculus .
For example, net dispalcement is determined by area under the graph of velocity-time graph.
