Speed v of sound in a gas is given as

γ = adiabatic constant of gas,  R = universal gas constant,  T = absolute temperature
M = moleculer mass of gas
 
Frequently used formula for velocity of sound in air
 
v = 331 + 0.6 T
 
In above formula T is in oC
 
Example :-
 
Speed of sound in air at 25 oC,  v = 331 + ( 0.6 × 25 ) = 346 m/s
