Transformation of sentencesis the process of changing the form of a sentence while simultaneously ensuring that its original meaning is maintained.
For example, using Degrees of Comparison
 
No other city in India is as crowdedas Mumbai. (Positive)
 
Mumbai is more crowded than any other city in India. (Comparative)
Mumbai is the most crowded city in India. (Superleative)
 
For rxample, Using Active and Passive Voice
 
Jack received a gift from an unknown person on his birthday. (Active voice)
A gift from an unknown person was receivedby Jack on his birthday. (Passive voice)
