There are two friend they fixed a time to meet in between one hour ,if one friend come earlier then they wait for only five minutes and then they go and after that both the friend never meet what is the probability of they meet?

Let us divide the 1 hour into 24 time slots of 2.5 minutes.
if a person A reaches a point at particular time slot and another person B reaches same point at same time slot,
or 2.5 minutes earlier or 2.5 minutes after, then they are meeting and also in future they will meet.
Each time slots are equally likely for both persons.
probability for person-A to meet person-B = (1/24)(1/24)+(1/24)(1/24)+(1/24)(1/24) = 3(1/24)(1/24) = 3/576 = 1/192
In the above expression, probabilities are added three times because first term is for B reaches in earlier time slot to meet A,
second term is for A and B reaches at same time slot and third term is B reaches at next time slot to meet A.
similarly probability for person-B to meet person-A = 1/192
hence combined probability or probability of their meeting in future= 1/96
