The qualifications required to become a member of the Lok Sabha are:

  1. Should be an Indian citizen.

  2. Should not be less than 25 years of age.

  3. Should be of sound mind.

  4. Should not be a proclaimed criminal/convict.

  5. Should not be an insolvent or a confirmed debtor or otherwise disqualified by the law.

  6. Should have his name in the electoral rolls in any part of the country.

  7. Should not hold any office of profit under the government or should not be a beneficiary of the government.
