The qualifications required to become a member of the Lok Sabha are:
- Should be an Indian citizen.
- Should not be less than 25 years of age.
- Should be of sound mind.
- Should not be a proclaimed criminal/convict.
- Should not be an insolvent or a confirmed debtor or otherwise disqualified by the law.
- Should have his name in the electoral rolls in any part of the country.
- Should not hold any office of profit under the government or should not be a beneficiary of the government.
