Figure shows the reflection point of a(6,4) with respect to origin as a1(-6,-4)
Also reflection point of b(0,4) with respect to origin as a2(0,-4)
 
Distance between a (6,4) and b(0,4) is 6 units . Distance between a1(-6,-4) and a2(0,-4) also 6 units.
 
Distance between b(0,4) and a1(-6,-4) is begin mathsize 12px style square root of open parentheses negative 6 close parentheses squared plus open parentheses 4 plus 4 close parentheses squared end root space equals space 10 space u n i t s end style. Distance between a(6,4) and a2(0,-4) also 10 units.
Hence perimeter = 2×(10+6) = 32 units
