So question No.17 is answered below
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
In step-1, C2 and C3 are replaced by its series equivalent  1μf. 
 
In Step-2 (C3+C2) and C5 are in parallel combination , hence its equivalent 2μf is considered.
 
In step-3 , 2μf and another 2μf are in series. Its equivalenet 1μf is considered.
 
Finally in step-4, we have two parallele capacitors of each 1μf . Hence effective capacitance is 2μf
