Ozone is very important for maintaining existence of life on earth by absorbing harmful ultraviolet radiations, But our refrigerators and A.C. manufacturing industries are depleting it. Now answer the following questions: (a) Write the harmful effect of ultraviolet radiations. (b) Should the manufacturing of refrigerators be stopped? HoW are refrigerat manufacturing industries depleting ozone? (c) .Suggest one method to check the depletion of ozone.

Harmful Effect of UV Radiation:

Cause skin damage such wrinkles.

Cause sun burns

Damage skin DNA and cause skin cancer.

May develop cataracts which result in cloud sight or blindness

Manufacturing of refrigerators need not stop. Now a days, companies have started manufacturing CFC free refrigerators.

Prevention of depletion of ozone:

Encourage forestation

Use of eco-friendly products
