Expert Answer
In this question, it has been mentioned that the outstanding subscription on 31.03.2018 is Rs.37,500 and this amount includes Rs.12,500 for the year ended 31st March, 2017. It means out of the total outstanding of Rs.30,000 as on 31.03.2017, Rs.12,500 remains unpaid during 2017-18 and only the balance of Rs.17,500 is paid and cleared. Therefore, while showing total outstanding subscription as on 31.03.2018 the amount to be shown will include balance outstanding of 2016-17 (Rs.12,500) and the outstanding for the current year 2017-18 (Rs.25,000) i.e., total of Rs.37,500.
