current = n e A vd ...............(1)
where n is number density of electron, e is charge of electron, A is area of cross section and vd is drift velocity
material of two wires are same, hence n is same for both wire.
current I in wire-1 is given by, I = n e A v
if wire-2 has half the radius and drift velocity 2v, then current in wire-2 = n e (A/4) (2v) = (n e A v )/2 = I/2
