Identify the sets given below as equivalent, disjoint and overlapping sets :
(i) A = set of letter in the word 'MAD' B = Set of letters in the word 'PEN'
(ii) R = Letters in the word 'COLOR' Q = Letters in the word 'DONOR'
(iii) H = {Months of the year} I = { Natural numbers from 1 to 12 }

(i) A = set of letter in the word 'MAD' B = Set of letters in the word 'PEN'
A = {M, A, D} and B = { P, E, N}
The no. of elements in both sets is 3. Hence, A and B are equivalent sets.
(ii) R = Letters in the word 'COLOR' Q = Letters in the word 'DONORS'
R = { C, O, L, R} and Q = {D, O, N, R, S}
Elements O and R of set R overlap with elements of set Q. Hence, set R and Q are overlapping sets.
(iii) H = {5, 6, 7, 8} I = { a, b, c, d }
None of the elements of set H and I are common. Hence, they are disjoint sets.
