  1. The monument shown is the Supreme Court of India. It is located in New Delhi.
  2. Yes, the Supreme Court is considered the custodian of the Constitution. This is because it is considered to hold the sanctity of the Constitution. Also, the court has the right to review the laws made by the state or the centre. This is so because if any law is made against the Constitution, the Supreme Court has the right to declare it as unconstitutional. Furthermore, the review of the laws made by the court are not involuntary, i.e. the laws made would be reviewed only when a person is aggrieved by that particular law and calls for the court to review it.
  3. The Supreme Court of India is considered the Guardian of Fundamental Rights because it protects the important rights of the citizens of the country. It has the right to issue various writs such as habeas corpus, mandamus, prohibition, quo warranto and certiorari for the enforcement of any of the fundamental rights. Also, the Constitution of India prohibits the states from making any laws which abridge the fundamental rights of the people. However, if any such kind of law is made, the Supreme Court has the power to make that law null and void.
