I am sorry ma'am but these are the causes not the objectives. My question is that what were the main objectives of the Civil Disobedience Movement, i.e., why was it carried out, what was its main aim to do so?

Main objectives of the Civil Disobedience Movement were:

  • To force the British to abolish salt laws
  • Non payment of taxes and revenues to the British
  • To promote the use of swadeshi goods and boycott foreign goods in order to benefit the Indian industries

The Congress through the above objectives aimed to secure self rule in the country.
