In Accountancy, solving the numerical questions take more time and therefore, to master the art of answering numerical questions, it is necessary to regularly practise different types of problems from question banks, sample papers and past year papers.

Following points give an appropriate strategy to score well in Accountancy by correctly answering the questions within the allotted time.

Read the question carefully.
While reading each sentence or observing the tabular data in the question, mark the important words which can serve as hints to solve the question.
With the help of these hints, try to figure out what has been exactly asked in the question. Once you have figured out what is asked, identify other necessary information in the question.
If the necessary information is directly given in the question, use it to solve the question. But, if the required information is not given, you would have to derive it from the available information and then use it to solve the question.
If the solution comprises several parts, first identify the logical sequence for the solution and then start solving the question. This practice will help you derive the different parts of the solution one by one without getting confused.
After writing the solution, it is very important to re-check all of the many calculations. So, you should always spare time to re-check the calculations for any errors or mistakes for this question type.
