Encroachment of forest land or fertile agricultural land for dwelling units led to deforestation and hence the biological diversity is completely absent in that area. Constructional activities for dwelling units requires a large amount of building materials such as Kilns the bricks production pollute the atmosphere, nutrient rich soil is required for making bricks So the fertile land is degraded and lost its fertility. This is how the dwelling units are related to ecosystem.
