Given circuit is divided into three parts namely, Left loop, middle part and right loop.
Let IL be the current flowing in left loop in anticlockwise direction as per polarity of 5V battery.
Similarly, let IR be the current flowing in anticlockwise direction in right loop.
IL = 5V/5Ω = 1 A ; IR = 2V / 2Ω = 1 A
To get potential difference between A and B, let us trace the potential along the path A-C-D-E-F-B .
VA -5 +(2×1) -1 -2 +(1×1) = VB or VA -5 = VB or VA - VB = 5 V
