Precipitation reactions:
When two solutions containing soluble salts are combined, there is a formation of insoluble salt called precipitate and the reaction is known as a precipitation reaction.
Copper sulphate on reaction with sodium hydroxide forms a blue precipitate of copper hydroxide (insoluble salt.)
