A(a,3) , B(2,1) and C(5,a) are collinear.

Slope of AB = slope of BC

begin mathsize 16px style fraction numerator 3 minus 1 over denominator straight a minus 2 end fraction equals fraction numerator 1 minus straight a over denominator 2 minus 5 end fraction
fraction numerator 2 over denominator straight a minus 2 end fraction equals fraction numerator straight a minus 1 over denominator 3 end fraction
6 equals straight a squared minus 3 straight a plus 2
straight a squared minus 3 straight a minus 4 equals 0
left parenthesis straight a minus 4 right parenthesis left parenthesis straight a plus 1 right parenthesis equals 0
straight a equals 4 space or space straight a equals negative 1
end style

If a = 4 then points are A(4, 3), B(2, 1) and C(5, 4)

If a = -1 then points are A(-1, 3), B(2, 1) and C(5, -1)

Find teh equation of line in both the cases.
