- Muhammad bin Tughlaq made arrangements for a long 1,500 km journey from Delhi to Daulatabad. A broad road was built lined up with trees on both sides. Temporary huts and other shelter houses were built, and free food and drinks were supplied to the people during the arduous journey.
- For the conquests of Khurasan, Persia and Iraq, the sultan mobilised a large well-equipped army and paid them a one-year salary in advance.
