In this kind of weathering, the disintegration of rocks takes place without any change in their chemical composition.

Chemical composition of the rocks takes place as the minerals present in the rocks get dissolved.

It takes place in regions of extremely hot and dry climatic conditions as the temperature in such regions varies during the day and night.

It takes place in regions which are hot and humid.

The main agents of weathering are temperature, weathering, and moisture.

The main agents of chemical weathering is water.

Rocks are affected to great depths.

It mostly takes place near the surface of the Earth.
