Burning of an incense stick can be smelt from a distance. Why?

In gases, intermolecular forces of attraction between the particles are very weak. Hence, the particles of gases produced by the burning of incense stick move rapidly in all directions. They collide with the particles of air present in the room, spread with air to distances.
