In ICSE Class-X Gold series Sample Paper-III, the question nos. 1(h)(i), 3(b)(I), and 4(a)(ii) and 7(a) are correct.

1(h)(i)

The volume occupied by 2 g hydrogen at STP is equal to 22.4 dm³ or 22.4 L because 1 mole of any gas occupies 22.4 L volume at STP and 1 mole of hydrogen is 2 g. This volume is called molar volume.

3(b)(I)

Non-metal form Covalent chlorides as the difference in the electronegativities of non-metal and chlorine is very less. For e.g. PCl₅

4(a)(ii)

T he compound A is an alkene CH₂=CH₂ which undergoes addition reaction by breaking the double bond between CH₂=CH₂.

7(a)

(i) First reaction is the dehydration of sugar.

(ii) In the second reaction, there is oxidation of S to SO₂

(iii)In the third reaction, non-volatile acid is reacting with salt to form salt and HCl acid which is comparartively more volatile..

(iv)In the fourth reaction, there is H₂SO₄ reacting with base CuO to form salt and water.

(v)In the fifth reaction, also there is H₂SO₄ reacting with base Na₂CO₃ to form salt and water.
