Expert Answer
Voltage or potential difference across battery terminal is EMF of battery. Inside the battery chemical energy is converted
into electrical potential energy and this electrical potential energy is called EMF of battery .
As long as chemical reaction is sustained in the battery , its EMF or potential difference across its terminal is maintained .
Just by charging a capacitor , battery will not loose its EMF . Hence after removing the fully charged capacitor ,
battery will have its constant EMF and it is not affected due to charging of capacitor.
Capacitor plates also retain the charge on each plate and also retain potential difference acros plates for sufficiently long time if the
plates are not shorted or connected to resistance
