After fully charging the capacitor , potential difference across capacitor plates equals the EMF of battery .
After battery is removed , potential difference across battery is its EMF value. ( Obvious )

Similarly after battery is removed, potential difference across capacitor plates will be its initial value
when capacitor was connected across battery.

Capacitor plates holds the charge and  potential difference sufficiently for long time unless the plates are connected
by conducting wire or any current drawing device connected across plates of capacitor.
