A light sphere of mass M and charge Q is suspended vertically on a light string of length L in a uniform electric field of magnitude E directed downward .suppose the spear is displayed slightly from the vertical .the spear oscillate like a pendulum .what is the period of oscillation? do you think that gravity should also be taken into consideration while making calculation ?explain

If the mass of the ball is very very small than the terms QE/m becomes very large as compared to g, and then g can be ignored while calculating the time period.
