1) Is R=2f applicable for mirror and lens both?
2)Is m=height of image/height of object applicable for both mirror and lens?

  1. R= 2f is valid only for spherical (concave and convex) mirrors.
  2. The magnification formula for lenses differs only in sign from the magnification formula of mirrors.
    That is,
    For mirrors: begin mathsize 12px style straight m space equals space minus space straight v over straight u end style 
    For lenses: begin mathsize 12px style straight m space equals space straight v over straight u end style
