CBSE Class 6 Answered
Write the antonyms of the words in bold in the
paragraph below.
The king
of Hastinapura, was married to a river goddess who was called Ganga, and who agreed to marry him as long as he never questioned her actions. Over the years they had seven sons, but Ganga
threw each one into the river. The king was distressed and finally asked his wife who she really was when their eighth son was born. Ganga revealed
herself to be a goddess in disguise and said that
her children who were once celestial
beings, were cursed to become
humans. She had ended their
punishment by drowning them immediately at birth. Sadly, since the king had
questioned her actions, she left him, along with his last son Devarata.
