Write the algorithm for the method of elimination for solving the pair of linear equations?

Expert Answer
Consider two linear equations in x and y
ax+by=c......(1)
dx+fy=e.......(2)
for elimination method, we need to make the coefficient ( of x or y) same
(1) × d gives
adx+bdy=cd....(3)
(2) × a gives
adx + fay = ea......(4)
now (3)-(4)
(bd-fa)y=cd-ea.............x is eliminated
