According to the question,
a = 1/2, b = 1/3 and c = -5/6
a + b + c = 0
Using cubic identities,
a3 + b3 + c3 = 3abc
(1/2)3 + (1/3)3 - (5/6)3 = 3 × 1/2 × 1/3 × (-5/6)
(1/2)3 + (1/3)3 - (5/6)3 = -5/12
(1/2)3 + (1/3)3 - (5/6)3 = -5/12
