Why Does Iron, Cobolt and Nickel having atomic nos. 26,27,28 only show ferromagnetic properties?

Expert Answer:

It is due to their unpaired electron giving them some residual magnetic moment to those atoms. Thus their crystal structure has grains having a net magnetic moment.
