Expert Answer
The Pentangular tournament was a cricket tournament that was organised on the basis of communal and racial lines. Gandhi was critical of this tournament as according to him, the tournament divided the people on religious and racial lines rather than uniting them. This was a time when nationalists were trying to unify the country to achieve independence from the colonial rule.
