Expert Answer
Radicals were a collection of individuals who desired a nation where the government was focused on the bulk of the population of the country. Radicals wanted a nation in which government was based on the majority of a country’s population. They opposed the privileges of great landowners and wealthy factory owners.
Conservatives were a bunch of people who disliked liberals and radicals and felt that history had to be honoured and that a gradual process had to bring about a change. Traditional state and society institutions, such as the Church, social hierarchies, property, and the family, were seen as important by conservatives. They also saw how modernity might strengthen old institutions like the monarchy, denying the need for a return to pre-revolutionary society.
