The question should be
Which of the expressions a = √3 + √27, b = √8 + √3  c = √2 + √50 and d = √12 + √48
 is the greatest?

a = √3 + √27 = √3 + 3√3 = 4√3

b = √8 + √3 = 2√2 + √3

c = √2 + √50 = √2 + 5√2 = 6√2

d = √12+√48 = 2√3 + 4√3 = 6√3

c < d. a < b and b < c
hence, a < b < d < d
The greatest number is d.
