square root of 17 minus square root of 12 equals fraction numerator 17 minus 12 over denominator square root of 17 plus square root of 12 end fraction equals fraction numerator 5 over denominator square root of 17 plus square root of 12 end fraction square root of 11 minus square root of 6 equals fraction numerator 11 minus 6 over denominator square root of 11 plus square root of 6 end fraction equals fraction numerator 5 over denominator square root of 11 plus square root of 6 end fraction But comma space square root of 17 plus square root of 12 greater than square root of 11 plus square root of 6 rightwards double arrow fraction numerator 5 over denominator square root of 17 plus square root of 12 end fraction less than fraction numerator 5 over denominator square root of 11 plus square root of 6 end fraction rightwards double arrow square root of 17 minus square root of 12 less than square root of 11 minus square root of 6 Thus comma space square root of 11 minus square root of 6 space is space greater
