answered-by-expert Expert Answer

Agricultural production had increased considerably with the use of iron tools like the iron ploughshare. Various crops were produced using new methods of agriculture. The method of transplanting seedlings or small plants revolutionised agricultural production. With this method, farmers raised small saplings and carefully transplanted them in larger fields. Methods of irrigation had also improved as canals, wells, tanks and artificial lakes were used to irrigate farms.
