Expert Answer:

Vaccination is the administration of a vaccine against a particular disease or a set of diseases. The vaccine develops adaptive immunity to a disease for that individual and prevents from further infection of that disease. Usually, a dead or weakened germ-causing that disease is given as a vaccine which stimulates body's antibodies against the germ preventing it to occur in future.
