what is the mutual inductance of coil  and solenoid of length of 0.5m and with 5000 turns of wire has a radius 4cm and a coil of 700 turns is wound on the middle part of the solenoid.

Mutual inductance M = μon1n2 πr2 l  ................(1)
 
where μo is permeability of free space, n1 is number of turns in solenoid per unit length,
n2 is number of turns in coil per unit length, and l is the length of coil
 
n, number of turns /unit length = 5000 / 0.5  = 10000  (assumed to be same for solenoid and coil)
 
coil length = 0.5×(700/5000) m 
 
M = 4π×10-7×104×104 ×π×16×10-4 × (0.5×700/5000) = 44×10-3 H  = 44 mH
