Expert Answer
Pascal's law states that a pressure change occurring anywhere in a confined incompressible fluid is transmitted throughout the fluid such that the same change occurs everywhere.
Pascal's law basically states that any pressure applied to a fluid inside a closed system will transmit that pressure equally in all directions throughout the fluid. This law is the basic principle that causes hydraulic power in heavy construction machines to work.
A hydraulic lift for automobiles is an example of a force multiplied by hydraulic press, based on Pascal's principle. The fluid in the small cylinder must be moved much further than the distance the car is lifted.
