Factor Theorem is a special case of Remainder Theorem . All the conditions remain same if the remainder happens to be zero then factor thm applies
It says if a polynomial P(x) with degree greater than or equal to 1 is divided by a linear polynomial (x-a) , if P(a)=0 then x-a is a factor of polynomial P(x).
Hope this clarifies the doubt
