It is assumed that question is " what is two dimensional motion ? "

If the object moves i a straight line on flat surface , then the motion is one-dimensional motion.

But if object moves in circular path on flat surface and if we consider  an x-y cartesian coordinate system 

on flat surface , then at any time the oject has displacements in x-axis direction and alos in y-axis direction .

This is called two dimensional motion.

If an object is thrown vertically upward , it goes upward and falls back to ground in same straigh line .

This is one dimensional motion.

If an object is projected in a direction that makes some angle θ with horizontal , then  object has horizontal displacement or vertical displacement at any time of its motion . This is two dimensional motion.
