Dear Student,
Soaking eans seeds swell and increase in size when they are kept in water.
Soaking helps in better germination as it makes the seed coat permeable and the cotyledons can easily come out.
Sprouting of seeds is the process by which seeds germinate for which seeds require oxygen, moisture and sunlight.
A sprout is a shoot that emerges from a recently germinated seed.
